Being a responsible and engaged corporate citizen is a top priority for BNSF. Here are some of the organizations and programs we have recently supported:

  • Donated $25,000 for the YMCA building campaign in Skagit Valley. This money will go toward a new 60,000-square-foot, two story facility and adjacent early learning center.
  • Provided a $16,000 grant to the Timberlake Fire Protection District in Athol, Idaho, for a new thermal imaging camera. The grant will replace the department’s current camera, which is about 10 years old.
  • Provided a $5,000 grant for the Imagine Children’s Museum in Everett for its “Celebrate Our World” program.
  • Awarded a $7,500 grant for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Whatcom County for its “Academic Success” program. The Academic Success program extends learning beyond the school day with a variety of small group, one-on-one activities, and independent enrichment opportunities. These nationally-proven programs are aligned with K-12 common core standards, remediate the achievement gap, and promote educational preparedness by providing youth the tools they need to become the leaders of their generation.
  • Gave $5,000 for Auburn Youth Resources street outreach program to homeless youth and young adults.
