BNSF’s connection to the communities we serve extends beyond the tracks. Along the waters of Puget Sound, BNSF is partnering with Long Live the Kings, Tribal nations, and other organizations to help restore salmon habitat and support healthier ecosystems.
“Working together is a powerful way to ensure our habitat restoration partnerships result in the greatest possible benefit locally and regionally,” said Johan Hellman, BNSF public affairs director.
Through habitat restoration projects, including efforts to replace outdated culverts with more fish-friendly structures, BNSF and its partners are helping open access to critical waterways. The projects show how thoughtful infrastructure improvements can support both rail operations and the environment.
