A new chapter in Pacific Northwest dairy is underway in Pasco, Washington. Darigold has opened a major processing facility at a BNSF Railway Certified Site, designed to reduce delays and speed projects from planning to operation. The 150-acre Reimann Industrial Center sits within the Port of Pasco and offers direct rail access along with utilities and permits already in place.

“Certified Sites are part of our evolving portfolio of customized logistics solutions that get our customers from point A to point B faster, easier and cheaper, leading to a more efficient supply chain and boundless economic development opportunity,” BNSF Group Vice President, Industrial Products and Economic Development Katie Hower explained.

The facility was built to process up to eight million pounds of milk per day from more than 100 regional farms. It produces butter and powdered milk for customers across the United States and roughly 30 countries. The more than $1 billion investment is Darigold’s largest ever and is expected to employ 200 people directly while supporting up to 1,000 additional jobs across the region.
